Research Paper on Mockingbird
Gardens are favourite habitats for mockingbirds, especially if the garden includes a supply of winter berries. They also require open grassy areas for feeding, and thick thorny shrubs for concealing their nests. Territorial males also require high perches from which they can vocalize.
Mockingbirds commonly live in open country with thickets, farmland and desert brush.
Their diet consist of mainly berries, insects and seeds. Therefore the mockingbirds have to live in areas where they contain these, which explain the need for mockingbirds to live near trees, bushes and wild growth.
Maycomb is generally a simple city, with no advanced technology or infrastructure. Therefore, the air pollution level is generally low. The trees, bushes and wild growth is clean and fit for the mockingbirds to consume.
The mockingbirds prefer these conditions and thus, live in Maycomb. In addition, there is really not much sound or hustle and bustle. Thus, this allows the mockingbird to truly sing their hearts out with no interference.
This is generally a short research on the natural habitat of mockingbird.
